09 Jan Special Gastronomic Event Menu at Casa Cesilia

On November 10 and 11, Novelda will host the Grape Festival and the Grape and Saffron Gastronomic Event, for which the restaurant of our winery has prepared a special menu for 25 euros starring these two ingredients as protagonists of the main courses.

Coinciding with the Grape Festival which will be held this weekend in Novelda, the town’s Department of Tourism is offering a wide range of activities this Saturday and Sunday in the town.  Among the events worth highlighting is the Grape and Saffron Gastronomic Event. A decade-old culinary initiative in which ten local restaurants participate with menus made with grapes and saffron as the main ingredients. The special menu designed by Casa Cesilia restaurant for this edition of the Grape and Saffron Gastronomic Event is offered on Saturday and Sunday, November 10 & 11 for 25 euros per person.

Salad with goat cheese and “Red Globe” grapes
Sauteed mushrooms with “Muscatel” grape cream sauce
Meat-filled pastry with saffron cream

Main Course (choose one)
Rice with rabbit, snails and wild mushrooms topped with an Ad Gaude wine reduction

Iberian “secreto” pork flank with wine sauce
or
Gilthead bream with saffron prawn cream sauce

Calatrava bread with caramelized grapes
